Also please note that we will be closed for an extended vacation during Thanksgiving this year. We will be closed from November 14th to December 8th 2014. Please plan accordingly as we may not be able to handle last minute orders due to pared down inventory.

We start the summer off with a very exciting start to our Groupon promotion during which we sold 450+ coupons. Hope you all bought one or two.

We will be closed for the Memorial Day Weekend (from May 28 to May 30th) to attend our Sons graduation from Medical School -- Many of you know him from the years he worked here. One more to go. Those of you with kids in College know what I mean.

But we will do a better job this year !

So we are now on FaceBook - please find us as 'Nuts About Ice Cream' and we will keep you updated of new flavors and happenings. Also We will be running a coupon sale on March 29 and 30th on GROUPON. So please purchase them as they are a good deal. While we want new customers as a result, we also want to reward loyal customers who have kept us in business for so long. Thanks you all for that.

We are going to be closed from Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 26th till Tuesday December 1st. We will reopen on Wednesday December 2nd. Happy Thanksgiving Holidays !

Another great summer went by and our youngest one started medical school In August. Most of our customers know her as the little one -- and she is still the little one being the smallest and youngest person in her medical school class.

We will be taking some well earned rest this year and will be closed as follows :

WE WILL BE CLOSED FROM OCTOBER 21st thru October 28th - reopening on the 29th.

Then we will take a Thanksgiving break from the 26th November thru 1st December.

Finally, we will be closed for Christmas and New Years from the 24th December till January 4th 2010.

Another quick note on 'Truth in Advertising' - We have noted some ice cream makers in town advertising that they make ice cream for many restaurants in town. Truth of the matter is they make one or two simple flavors for them and for the rest either the restaurants make their own or come to us to make all the difficult exotic flavors. Also remember that Home made does not mean made with all natural ingredients -- Heck anyone can use a flavor bottle !

No matter what brings you to town -- Musikfest, the Sands Casino, family and friends or to bring your students to some fine universities in Bethlehem (Lehigh University and Moravian College) - if you are an ice cream lover you need to seek us out -- We promise to make it worthwhile.

We will be closed for a much deserved break from Monday March 23 2009 to Wednesday April 1st 2009. We will open on Thursday 2nd April 2009 to start our 21st Summer season. As most of you have been following the economic crisis in the USA, we too have noticed a drastic downturn in Business since the end of Summer Last year.

However, we are hoping to maintain our prices from last year in the hope that we have more customers than last year. We ask that you tell your friends and neighbors about your little secret -- Let them too get the best value for their hard earned dollar now more so than ever. We plan to honor our pledge to give you the best value for ice cream anywhere. In our opinion you cannot find a better quality product at a better price for the same portion. Heading into winter we have noticed a small downturn in business at Nuts About Ice Cream in the 20 years we have been doing this. We continue to add more flavors and improve our old flavors, and maintain high quality even when market pressures may tempt otherwise. We have maintained current prices to get us all thru this slow period which we know shall come to pass.

So rest assured that we will still be the ice cream makers of choice for all those who value quality at a fair price, Especially in this times when customers are seeking to get the most value for their dollar. After all who wants to save a few quarters for a product that you can hardly stomach.

Due to less demand, to ensure freshness, we have cut down our product manufacturing quantities so Please Order your Holiday treats early to ensure availability. Gift certificate (of any amount) are also available. See our 'currently dipped flavors' page for our holiday and seasonal flavors.

Also note that we have a small surcharge of 10% on Exotic and unique Ice Cream flavors such as Saffron Pistachio, Kulfi, Mango, Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, Ginger, Fig any alcoholic flavors and others. Unfortunately ingredient cost especially of imported item keep going up and to be fair we are charging more for those flavors that cost more to make.

But even then they can't match what we make or have since they will not purchase better higher quality ingredients. Just like a computer if you put garbage in you get garbage out.

But we forewarned if you come here - be ready to be blown away! We only use all Natural Ingredients at any cost (even when ingredients like Saffron have gone from $ 18.00 per ounce to $ 90.00 in the last 18 months) and will not compromise our standards. Even if it means we have to charge more.

Yet there are so many people who haven't tried our products. Ask those who have how good it is. In fact we have raised the Bar so high that our regular customers are just not satisfied going anywhere else. We continually get complements like 'the Best Ice Cream anywhere' to 'the best counter persons (our kids)' and 'cleanest ice cream store'. This summer is just passing us by a little too fast. Our son graduated from the Pennoni Honors School at Drexel University with a degree in Bio-Medical Engineering and will head to Florida at the end of the month to start Medical School at NSU (Nova South Eastern University). Most of our regular customers know that he has scooped and made ice cream since he could stand on a milk crate. Come get waited upon, by him while it is affordable. Once he is a DO who knows !

Another major happening this summer is the skyrocketing cost of all natural ice cream ingredients. Dairy (milk and cream) products are up by 20% and exotic spices and purees are already on another planet. Saffron went from 18 to 48 $ an ounce. Through thick and thin it is our commitment to quality that will not change because our customers would prefer a higher price instead of a lower quality.

Again we were featured in newspaper articles and various BLOGs on the net. Serious ice cream lovers know this is the place to come.
